INDUSTRIAL STEEL FACILITY
Completed 2025
This project involved the design of a large-scale industrial facility utilizing a structural steel framing system. The building has an approximate plan area of 80,000 square feet and features a long-span moment frame steel structure supporting a gable roof with a 6:12 slope. The roof geometry was specifically developed to promote effective snow shedding under extreme environmental loading conditions. The structure also supports an integrated gantry crane system, which was accommodated within the primary steel frame.
The project was executed in a remote location, creating logistical challenges related to material delivery, sequencing, and constructability. In addition, the structure was designed to resist very high snow loads, requiring careful consideration of member sizing, connections, and overall structural efficiency. The resulting design delivers a robust and practical solution that balances constructability with performance under demanding site and environmental conditions.
